COVID-19 has upended our lives and many people have had their regular routines completely removed from them as gyms around the world closed overnight. Although great in theory, the big problem is that often a 50-plus person needs FAR more personalized exercise and nutrition programs, guidance and support for their individual needs. Q: As a 50+ person why should I choose Evertrain?

A: From the beginning, Evertrain was created with the needs and wants of the 50+ person in mind. We help coach our clients on many of the specific issues that people over 50 face like;

  • Joint injuries that have developed over time. Things like low-back pain, worn out knees, shoulder injuries, issues that come with bunions, joint replacements, etc.

  • Hormonal changes that occur around this time of life and how this impacts your path towards your health and fitness goals.

Q: How effective can workouts be at home?

A: Your workouts can be extremely effective from the privacy of your own home by following these steps:

  • First, we guide our clients on how to create a minimalist at-home gym set up.

  • Then we design programs based on your goals, your abilities and the equipment you have access to.

  • Lastly, your body is your best asset toward making the most out of your workouts. We teach you how to use and move your body so that you can maximize the benefit of any workout. Without learning to do this, no piece of equipment can make up for improper movement and poor exercise technique.

Q: How often will I have sessions with my coach?

A: We have a variety of coaching packages that vary from lots of support to less support. We will provide you with recommendations based on your goals, budget and level of commitment.

Q: What equipment will I need?

A: As we briefly touched on above, we will provide recommendations for equipment based on your goals, abilities, budget and what you already have in your possession. Equipment our members use varies from resourceful house-hold objects such as paint cans and weight-filled back packs, to bands and a few dumbbells. Our recommendations are provided on a case-by-case basis. But we are firm believers that you can achieve great results on a modest budget.

Q: I have joint-pain and other aches and pains. Will this program work around my specific needs?

A: Injuries can definitely be an obstacle towards reaching your goals. Especially when you’re not following a versatile and holistic approach to health and fitness. We assume that you WILL have some form of pre-existing injury when you become a member. In fact, it’s rare that a new member joins without a long list of aches and pains. Over the years, we’ve developed methods for helping you to repair old injuries by improving movement and strengthening your body in a way that will prevent future injuries. With a combination of mobility techniques, strength training, sound program design and of course healthy lifestyle habits, you can truly transform your body and minimize or even eliminate pain.

Q: Why should I hire a coach when I can get workouts and information for free online?

A: This is a great question and is worth investigating for yourself. There are countless free options online. And these options may be a great fit for you. But what we’ve noticed is that more often than not, our members have tried all the free/low commitment programs and diets out there. Some worked... For a little while. Some didn’t work… And some actually caused issues that they were stuck with later on. The main issue is options like these don’t take into account the needs of the individual. And what’s more, is that they often don’t adapt as you adapt. That’s why having a program designed for the 50+ person and a coach to work with that has experience with the 50+ crowd is what more and more people are turning to, to finally get their health and fitness figured out.
