A Busy Entrepreneur and Mom of 3...

Natalie is one of the most determined individuals you’ll meet. As a busy working mom who runs a successful real estate business, she’s seen great success in many areas of her life. Unfortunately, while juggling the demands of every day life her health and fitness started to slip as the years went by.

“I noticed I had fallen off the exercise wagon quite a while ago with a young family, you stop exercising, the years go by and then menopause happens and eventually I realized I had to do something to stop the cycle.”

Eventually Natalie reached a breaking point. Her clothes didn’t fit anymore. She was dragging her heels, because she felt so tired and “yucky”. She didn’t have the energy to do things like skiing or walking.

The Year of Natalie

Natalie did something that a lot of people just don’t do. She COMMITED 100%. She decided that enough was enough and declared 2018 “The Year of Natalie”.

“I was going around telling everyone that I was going to make 2018 the year of Natalie. I had to get my act together.”

After a recommendation from her colleague Serge G (one of our longest standing Evertrain members), she contacted us to get started right away.

Natalie has found a way to be consistent in spite of an incredibly hectic work-life schedule. She’s managed to lose weight consistently and is just on the verge of breaking the 40lbs down mark.

The power of weight training and attention to food intake.

Aside from walking as often as she could, Natalie exercise focus was weight training and stretching 3x per week.

In spite of several joint aches and pains through the process, Natalie has enjoyed incredible success. With virtually no weight-loss style cardio prescribed, she has lost nearly 40lbs and has had to buy all new clothing. Her success has come about mainly through; corrective and postural resistance training, stretching and a focus on improving nutrition quality and quantity.

This is a good example of how a quality first approach can still yield great weight-loss results. Contrast that to a “butt kicking”, Biggest Loser style workout program that leaves one broken and stressed. We applaud Natalie for trusting the process and being patient along the way.

Moving forward.

When we asked Natalie how her view of herself has changed since achieving her goals she noticed a big change.

“I feel a lot happier. When I go shopping for clothes, it’s not depressing anymore. I can wear new things and they look nice on me. I have WAY more energy and I feel less frustrated. I feel more at peace with myself. I have way more energy to get stuff done. I look forward to walking my dog. I have more enthusiasm to go out and do stuff in general.“

A story like Natalie’s is exactly why we do what we do. She is a great example of how a person over 50 can reach incredible feats in health and fitness when you commit 100% (remember, that doesn’t mean perfection).

And the best part, she’s NEVER going back to where she was.

“I fully intend to never go back to where I was!”
